Atlas terms of use
Atlas is made by TESAVA Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17346919). In these terms, "we" and "us" mean TESAVA Ltd and "you" means the person using Atlas. By using Atlas you agree to these terms. Please read them with the privacy policy, which explains what is stored and why.
What Atlas is
Atlas is a planner for your routines, habits and days, with optional sync between your devices through an Atlas account. It is an organiser. It is not medical advice and it does not replace advice from a doctor, pharmacist or other qualified professional. Always check with one before you start, stop or combine supplements, medicines or treatments, and always read the label on the product itself.
The Atlas subscription
Atlas for iPhone and iPad is free to download and is used with one subscription, bought from Apple inside the app. Everything in Atlas is included: there is nothing extra to buy and no advertising.
- Plans and prices: monthly or yearly. The app shows the price for your country before you buy. In the UK it is £4.99 a month or £34.99 a year, including VAT.
- The free trial: if you have not had one before, a subscription starts with a 7 day free trial, and nothing is charged during it. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and nothing is charged at all; otherwise the subscription starts and Apple charges your Apple ID for the first month or year when the trial ends.
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the renewal in the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Cancelling: at any time, in your Apple ID settings (on iPhone or iPad: Settings, your name, Subscriptions). Atlas stays open until the end of the period already paid for. Deleting the app or your Atlas account does not cancel the subscription.
- Payment and refunds: Apple takes the payment and handles billing, cancellation and refunds under its own terms, including the Licensed Application End User License Agreement. We never see your card details. Refunds, including any right to cancel you have under consumer law, are asked for from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple's terms and these terms disagree about the subscription, Apple's terms apply.
- Price changes: if we change a price, Apple tells you before it applies to you and, where the law or Apple's rules require it, asks for your agreement. You can cancel before the new price applies.
- The web app: the subscription includes Atlas on the web. Sign in there with the Atlas account the subscription is linked to; subscribing in the iPhone app while signed in links it. Until Atlas is on the App Store, the web app is free to use at its own address.
Your account
- An account is optional. Atlas works fully without one; an account only adds sync between your devices.
- You can sign in with your email address and a password, or, in the iPhone app, with Sign in with Apple. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- An account is for one person. Please give an email address you can receive mail at, so a password reset can reach you.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings, Account and sync, Delete account. That deletes the account and everything stored for it, as the privacy policy explains, and it cannot be undone.
Your data
What you put into Atlas is yours. We keep it in your account only to sync it between your devices, and we do not read it, sell it or use it for anything else. You are responsible for keeping your own copies: Atlas includes Export, and we recommend using it now and then.
Reading labels
Add a product by photo reads a label for you, on your device or, if you allow it, with an AI service. Either way it can misread a label or miss something. You check what it found before anything is saved, and the label on the product is always the final word.
Using Atlas fairly
- Do not try to get into anyone else's account or data, or to get round the limits that protect the service.
- Do not overload, attack or reverse engineer the sync or label reading services, or use them through automated tools.
- Do not use Atlas for anything unlawful.
If an account is used in a way that breaks these rules, we may suspend it after telling you why, unless the law or the safety of others means we cannot wait.
Changes and availability
We keep improving Atlas, so features may change. We work to keep sync and label reading available, but they depend on the internet and on other providers, so we cannot promise they will never be interrupted. Atlas itself keeps working on your device without them. If we ever had to close the sync service, we would tell you at least 30 days before, so you can export your data.
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will say so in the app or on this page before it takes effect. The effective date at the top always shows the current version.
Our responsibility to you
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content and services that are not as described or not of satisfactory quality, and nothing in these terms affects them. We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, or for business losses, because Atlas is for personal use. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts where you live.
